Overview
This policy covers the free catalog audit and waitlist at Nodviq. It explains what we collect when you run an audit or submit your email, why we collect it, and how to control it.
Data we collect
Running an audit or joining the waitlist submits:
- Your email address, to send your report and, if you opt in, early access updates.
- The store URL you enter, to run the audit against your public product pages.
- Your resulting integrity score, so we can include it in your report.
We do not collect payment details, physical addresses, or browsing history through this site.
How the audit itself works
When you submit a store URL, we fetch that store's public product pages at the moment of your request to calculate a score. We do not store the crawled page content or your product catalog. Only the resulting score is kept, tied to the email and store URL you provided.
Why we collect it, and our legal basis
We use this data to run the audit you requested, email you the report, and notify you about early access to fix tools if you join the waitlist. Our legal basis is your consent: you provide your email voluntarily when you submit the form, and can withdraw it at any time by contacting us below.
Retention
We keep your email, submitted store URL and score for as long as your audit or waitlist request is active, and delete or anonymize it on request. [Placeholder: a fixed maximum retention period has not been set yet. Confirm one before this policy is treated as final.]
Who has access
Your data is stored with Neon (Postgres database hosting) under a deny-by-default access policy. No client-side or public read path exists for this data. As of the date above, we do not use any analytics, advertising, or marketing-tech providers, so no data is shared with third parties for those purposes. If that changes, this policy will be updated first.
Cookies
This site does not currently set analytics or marketing cookies. We checked our own codebase to confirm this rather than assume it; if that changes, this section will be updated to name the provider and its purpose.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or export the data we hold about you, and to object to how we use it. You can also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@nodviq.com.
International transfers
Our infrastructure providers may process your data in a country other than the one you submitted it from.
Children
This service is intended for business use and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.
Changes to this policy
If we make a material change to how we collect or use your data, we will update the date at the top of this page.
